Haiti’s transitional government has selected Rameau Normil to become the country’s next Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH) force. Mr. Normil will replace outgoing DG Frantz Elbe.
Mr. Normil’s appointment was announced in Haiti’s official government newspaper, Le Moniteur, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
DG Rameau Normil’s official installation took place on Friday, June 21, 2024.
This will also be Rameau Normil’s second time as Director General of the PNH. He was previously Director General in 2019.
