MENFP pleads for the return of equipment & materials taken from schools

On Sunday afternoon, Haiti’s Ministry of Education posted a tweet pleading for the return of materials and equipment taken from over a dozen schools in the Artibonite & Northeast departments. MENFP also urged the public to help the affected schools retrieve lost documents such as student transcripts.

Chairman of Digicel Haiti, Maarten Boute, confirmed that 70% of the company’s antennas are still in operation. He also confirmed that refueling operations are currently underway and that it may take several days to get the network back to normal if conditions permit.
