Haiti’s Pharmaceutical Drug Approval Process Explained

July 1, 2020 – Haiti’s Ministry of Public Health received a large quantity of materials and medicines from the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

Haiti’s Ministry of Public Health has also issued a PSA advising the public to wear face masks to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

COVID-19 Update

According to Haiti’s Ministry of Public Health, As of July 4, 2020, there are 39 new cases of COVID-19. Haiti has confirmed 6,333 cases of COVID-19 & 113 deaths.

June 26, 2020 – A meeting was held to discuss measures being taken to resume commercial flights at Toussaint Louverture International Airport on June 30, 2020. VIDEO

July 1, 2020 – Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe held a press conference during a visit to Toussaint Louverture International Airport. The Prime Minister confirmed that the airport had successfully reopened. VIDEO

Haiti Ministry of Culture & Communication

The Ministry of Communication confirmed that Toussaint Louverture International Airport is open and ready to receive airline passengers.

On July 2, 2020, Haiti’s Minister of Culture & Communication, Pradel Henriquez, participated in the launch of the Creative Tech Lab.

July 1, 2020Sunrise Airways confirmed that it had resumed international flight operations to Haiti. The airline tweeted its first flight back from Santo Domingo to Port-au-Prince.
