Haiti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs confirms arrest of Samir Handal
In a tweet, Haiti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Claude Joseph, confirmed that he had spoken with his Turkish counterpart, Chancellor Mevlut Cavusoglu, regarding the arrest of Samir Handal.
Handal is currently a person of interest in the ongoing investigation into the assassination of President Jovenel Moise on July 7, 2021.
Sale of gasoline and diesel fuel in containers to be prohibited
In a note published by Haiti’s Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the government agency informed the general public that the sale of gasoline and diesel fuel products in containers will be strictly prohibited starting on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
Haiti PM visits Haitian National Police headquarters
Earlier today, Prime Minister Dr. Ariel Henry paid a visit to the Direction Générale de la Police Nationale d’Haïti.
During the visit, the Prime Minister held a press conference to thank the Haitian National Police force for their continued work to ensure safety & security.
The PM also took the opportunity to discuss some other matters of national importance.
