Official Protocols for COVID-19 deaths
- Dr Jocelyne Pierre Louis, Director of Health Promotion and Environmental Protection, held a press conference to discuss the protocols around the handling of deceased persons & their corpses during the COVID-19 pandemic. More Info – PDF File
- Haiti’s Ministry of Public Health has issued a PSA advising the public on the safe use of face mask made from fabric.
- The Ministry of Health cautions the general public against the trying on or general use of these mask before they are properly washed with soap and water and subsequently dried out in the sun.
- They also advised against the sharing of face mask between multiple people.
COVID-19
- According to Haiti’s Ministry of Communication, As of June 16, 2020, there are 141 new cases of COVID-19. Haiti now has 4,688 confirmed cases of COVID-19 & 82 deaths.
Haiti Civil Protection Agency
- Haiti’s Civil Protection Agency issued some practical guidelines for protecting you and your family in the event of a flood or other natural disaster. The guidelines include:
- Setting aside first aid kits and medication.
- Securing all important documents away from the path of water and wind.
- Determine a safe location in your home or other location that you can evacuate to in case of emergency.

Haiti Ministry of Education
- As part of it’s COVID-19 response plan, Haiti’s Ministry of Education has begun to support both parents and students by distributing dry food rations.

- Haiti’s Ministry of Culture released a statement on its official twitter page regarding the death of Madame Farah Martine Lhérisson and her husband in their private residence on the night of June 15, 2020.
